April was the last month before we start ramping up to the serious stuff. The month started off with another day dedicated to boat cleaning and prepping, but this time the aim was to get her looking presentable to a future crew as we looked to advertise her to a potential future crew. It feels strange putting her up for sale when we've not even done the challenge ourselves. In reality, its money we can feed back into our campaign, so it's worth securing a sale sooner then later.
The second week of April took us to an Arrive Alive event where we got to see one of their first response cars up close and personal. We got to hear first hand the amazing work they do and the lives they have saves with their cars. It's humbling to hear their stories, but makes us feel proud that we can play a part in their story.

My Steps did a charity car wash for us and raised a load of cash for us. The guys have since had a sale and donated even more money for our campaign. We are always amazed at what people are willing to do for others, and we love them for it.
DeadLegz started their rowing course this month. Decked out in fluorescent orange t-shirts that have "Learn to Row" on he front, we feel like proper novices on the water amongst the other more capable rowers. We've learned a lot so far, about technique and terminology that help make our crossing much easier on our bodies.

Parliament! We got a shoutout in parliament about the crazy challenge that we are doing. It's very surreal to know that they were talking about us down in London. Thanks to Chris Bloore for mentioning us in the big room!
We are now all finally qualified to navigate the untamed oceans, now that Tom has done his courses. Things are starting to get serious now, with a only a couple of free weekends in May for us all to get our holidays in before June, July and August are spent on the water down in Exeter.
